John Henderson of Mann Custom Boats Achieves
ABYC Master Technician Status

AFTER MONTHS OF TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION PROCESSES involving electrical systems, refrigeration/air conditioning and marine corrosion, John Henderson of Paul Mann Custom Boats is now designated a Master Technician by the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC).

"We are proud of John. His drive and achievement help us ensure that our customers get the highest level of technical skill and craftsmanship in yacht building," said Paul Mann.

Mann continued, "At Mann Custom Boats, we believe that enrolling our marine technicians in ABYC training programs helps increase the quality of our customers' boating experience. It really takes an individual commitment on the part of our employees to advance their knowledge."

The continuing education ABYC Marine Technician Certification program is based on ABYC marine industry safety standards. "What we offer is a comprehensive course of study and a challenging certification test," said Skip Burdon, ABYC president. "When someone like John completes the process and becomes certified, he or she can feel confident in the ability to apply ABYC standards as a tool for initial installation or for troubleshooting problems." ABYC has been developing, writing and updating the safety standards for boatbuilding and repair in the United States for over 50 years.

John Henderson has been working as a systems installation supervisor with Mann Custom Boats for over three years. "We're proud to have John as an important part of our team of craftsmen," said Paul Mann.
